I am a Fifth Generation Texan and a Second Generation Texas Lawyer. I was born and raised in Brownwood, Texas and attended Texas Christian University majoring in English Literature and Political Science. After graduating from TCU I joined the US Navy serving for nine years as an Intelligence Officer. In the Navy I was stationed in Naples, Italy; Norfolk, Virginia; and Lemoore, California. As a member of Strike Fighter Squadron One Thirteen (VFA-113) I deployed on the Aircraft Carrier USS Carl Vinson in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. At various times, I was dispatched to Sierra Leone, Senegal, Japan, Australia, the Azores, Israel, and Cape Verde as a liaison for the US Navy.
I left the Navy in 2018 to pursue my lifelong goal of practicing law in Texas. I attended St. Mary's University for my Juris Doctor and served as an editor on the St. Mary's Law Journal. I graduated a semester early, taking and passing the bar exam in February 2021.
My legal experience includes roles with the general counsel at a Texas based Life Insurance company, a title examiner for an oil and gas law firm, and a litigator at a small boutique firm in San Antonio. My areas of expertise are oil and gas, real estate, wills, trusts, estate planning, corporate formation and governance, and contract drafting and review.
As of 2023, I am a Registered Mineral Manager after attaining the requisite educational credits and passing the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO) Registered Mineral Manager (RMM) Exam.
